Native Plant Nursery
Green Side Up Environmental Services (GSU) can supply a range of native plants for residential landscaping, commercial landscaping, and ecological restoration. The science behind choosing what plants to use can be difficult and complex. Some plants require very little in the way of care, while others may only survive in a specific type of environment. Let us help you in choosing the best possible plant species for your project!
Services we provide include:
- Wholesale and retail trees, shrubs, perennials (terrestrial & aquatic)
- Bioengineering materials: fresh-cut and rooted live stakes, facines, brush matresses, rootwads, stone, erosion control blankets, etc.
- Contract growing.
Our nursery is located at Green Side Farm in Omemee at 121 Grassy Rd. We are located 1km east of the village and 1km north of highway 7 at the intersection of Acrevale Rd and Grassy Rd (West of Emily Park Rd and south of Emily Provincial Park).
Our scheduled hours are Wednesday-Sunday from 9-5. However, the nursery is at our farm so if someone is home we can certainly attend to anything you need. We look forward to seeingyou.
The North American Native Plant Society (NANPS) awarded one of GSU's clients with the Rural Reclamation Award for work GSU completed on their property. This award reconizes plant communities and habitat creation, suitability, diversity, genetic provenance, ethics and aesthetics.
